Local Nonprofit Serves Free Thanksgiving Meals

A Monroe-based nonprofit, the Philbeck Foundation, is spreading hope this Thanksgiving by helping local families enjoy a meaningful holiday meal together.

On Monday, Nov. 24, volunteers with the foundation will gather at The McIntyre, 13910 Lake Dr., to distribute Thanksgiving meal boxes filled with everything needed for a full celebration — including turkey, ham, traditional sides, and desserts.

For the Philbeck Foundation, this effort is about more than food; it’s about dignity, care, and reminding families they are seen and valued.

“Because we want to ensure the quality is there,” said Philbeck Foundation director Reagan Philbeck. “We’re not just handing out a meal — we want it to be something special. This community deserves a Thanksgiving that feels full, joyful, and filled with love.”

The foundation’s volunteers are driven by a shared belief that no family should feel alone during the holidays. By coming together to serve, they hope to create moments of comfort, gratitude, and connection around the table.
